Our Story

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Our Partners

Michael LaVecchia and Jeff Van Dyke met just as LaVecchia and his brothers were launching Poseidon Seafood. Jeff Van Dyke, then the General Manager of Barley & Rye, a popular South Park seafood restaurant, signed on as one of their first customers. LaVecchia has been in the seafood business ever since, and in 2011 founded Meat & Fish Co, a distributor of sustainable and high quality seafood and steaks. Van Dyke has been in the restaurant business all those years and is a founding partner in Brixx Wood Fired Pizza and Boardwalk Billy’s Raw Bar & Ribs. The partnership was born after Michael called Jeff to discuss how to better utilize the storefront space at the Meat & Fish Co. on the corner of Morehead and McDowell. The idea came to life after finding an Operating partner, Jeffrey Schreiber, a grad of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in Pittsburgh. He honed his sushi and fresh seafood skills as a chef in Charleston and most recently was the Food and Beverage Director for several hotel properties in Charlotte. Raquel “Rocky” Arreola has joined the team as the Culinary Director
